There are still a small  number of places left on the 3 hr Risk Assessments for Community Based Festivals and Events course that is due to run on

Wednesday 17th April from 6.30-9.30pm in Sheskburn House

Tues 14th May from 6.30-9.30pm in Old Schoolhouse, Cushendall  and

Wed 15th May from 6.30-9.30pm in Bushmills Community Centre

Many local groups are planning summer festivals, fun days and other activities and this course will take you through the steps of carrying out appropriate risk assessments for your event.

Organisations that are receiving funding from Council through the Community Festivals Fund and Tourism Event Fund are advised to attend one of these courses as risk assessments should be submitted to Council prior to your event.

Follow up mentoring support will be available to a limited number of organisations leading up to their event and this should be of great benefit particularly to organisations that are relatively new to organising events.

This course is provided at no cost to volunteers within voluntary and community groups located in Moyle District Council through Council’s Community Support Programme.

Please contact Community Services Manager Louise Scullion on 2076 2225 to book a place. Remaining places will be allocated on a first come basis.
