SDLP Councillor Dónal Cunningham has congratulated local student Conleth Burns from Armoy, one of the finalists for the Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards.
Councillor Cunningham continued “Conleth a Year 11 student at Cross and Passion College Ballycastle has shown leadership beyond his years. As a member of the International charity Youth4Unity, Conleth was the central character involved in the organisation of the Run4Unity event held in the Stormont Estate in May of last year. Conleth and the team from Cross and Passion raised £4,500 to keep the Rainbow school in Uganda open. “
“I am delighted to see Conleth recognised as one of the finalists, where he and his efforts will be judged on the following criteria, motivation, time and effort, impact and personal sacrifice – anyone who knows Conleth, knows that he has all of these qualities in abundance.”
